Stocky Replacement
Replace Stocky with a safer supplier-to-Shopify workflow.
GhostSync is not a generic inventory suite. It is purpose-built for merchants whose suppliers still send CSV, Excel, and PDF files by email and who need guardrails before any update reaches Shopify.
GhostSync is not affiliated with Shopify or Stocky. Stocky is a Shopify product name, and references here are for identification only based on public Shopify materials reviewed on March 29, 2026.
What GhostSync replaces from Stocky
- Stocky incoming inventory tracking -> GhostSync supplier sync plus dry-run preview
- Stocky location-aware inventory updates -> GhostSync multi-location routing and health visibility
- Manual spreadsheet imports -> GhostSync email ingestion with guardrails and alerts
What GhostSync does not replace
This page works only if it is honest. GhostSync focuses on inventory accuracy and supplier file automation. It is not trying to be Stocky cloneware.
- Purchase orders and receiving workflows
- Demand forecasting and replenishment planning
- Warehouse operations outside Shopify inventory sync
Comparison
How GhostSync and Stocky differ
| Workflow | GhostSync | Stocky |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier email attachments | Built for emailed CSV, XLSX, and PDF files with AI-assisted setup. | Stocky's public docs focus on purchasing, transfers, reports, and inventory workflows inside Shopify. |
| Purchase orders and receiving | Use GhostSync alongside another system if you need PO or receiving workflows. | Historically one of Stocky's core operational workflows. |
| Migration path | Start with a free preview run to validate your supplier workflow before committing to live sync. Dedicated migration tooling is planned. | Shopify says Stocky is being sunset after August 31, 2026, with some records requiring manual export. |
| Daily operation | Push-based updates start when the supplier email arrives. | Stocky remained centered on internal inventory workflows rather than supplier inbox automation. |
This page is intentionally narrow. It compares the supplier-file automation workflow to Stocky's documented inventory operations workflow rather than trying to relitigate every Stocky feature.
Safer by default
GhostSync blocks suspicious files, surfaces the reason, and gives you a reversible audit trail instead of assuming every supplier file is trustworthy.
Safe transition path
Start with a free preview run to validate your supplier workflow. Dedicated migration tooling for Stocky, Stock Sync, and EasyCSV cutovers is planned.
Honest scope
If you need PO management or forecasting, GhostSync should sit beside those tools, not pretend to replace them.
Migration Plan
A safe cutover in three steps
- 1
Start with your current supplier workflow and one representative export or email attachment.
- 2
Use GhostSync to map SKU and quantity fields, then run the first sync in preview mode.
- 3
Review the delta, go live only when it looks right, and keep the status page handy for incident visibility.
